Nowadays, VR360, RFID/NFC, and QR Code technologies are widely applied in tourism, especially for connecting smartphones to provide information to tourists at sightseeing spots. In this article, the authors analyze the project of an information interpretation system for tourists at the Dien Phung Tien heritage site. We have implemented three evaluation methods to find out the advantages and limitations of technological solutions. The first method relies on the practical experience of operating the information interpretation system to determine its limitations in specific situations. The remaining two methods involve analyzing data related to visitors' information access and interactions on the interface to highlight the difference between design intent and actual implementation. The results show that applying QR codes and VR360 technology helps increase viewer interaction. However, there are four limitations of QR codes and the VR360 design process that need to be overcome, and we propose adding NFC technology to enhance information interpretation. Additionally, we recognized the need to collect interactive information from visitors and update data for the exhibition space. This article lays the groundwork for further research on the application of information and communication technologies in preserving and promoting heritage values, as well as in developing digital tourism based on Hue’s cultural heritage.
